2015 was the warmest vintage in Washington State. The spring was warm and wet, which set up the crop for a great season. The red grapes were picked in early September in order to capture the deepest of flavors. This vintage shows a lot of big fruit characteristics.
So, the trend continues. A wonderful blend of five Bordeaux varietals make for a lip smacking, big, grippy, red wine. Over the tops, but still balanced. The wine is aged in 60% new French oak, which highlights plenty of delicate oak aromas and flavors. Each varietal represented in equal proportion and adds it’s own mark to the wine. Each sip gets better and better. This wine will age well and pairs with rich, beautiful dishes. The dense tannins go on and on.
