Dark and rich color with noticeable legs. The flavors are fruit forward with a nice bit of oak to add length and texture. The warm 16 vintage is showing great fruit. Some dried red fruits and crushed pepper notes.

Syrah isn’t something we take lightly around here. It has color, fruit, complexity and a velvety finish. We always use this wine as the base for our Tres Cruces blend. We select fruit from a few different blocks and pick out the top barrels for this pure Syrah release. 100% French oak adds the complexity and elegant tannins we are looking for. This wine is drinking great now and will age well for a decade. After fermentation a portion of the Syrah was aged in large Punchon Barrels. The larger oak barrel gives a softer oak note to the wine.
