A beautiful red color. Ripe red fruit flavors, currants and raspberry, peppercorns, some sweet fruit mixed with gentile oak. A dense mid palate with great tannins, the finish is long and complex.

Mourvedre is different and unique. It loves the hot vintages and 2016 didn’t disappoint. These grapes are grown in a great spot in the vineyard. The sloped hillside has great drainage and produces some of the most amazing grapes we work with. The fruit is matched with tannins and cracked pepper on the finish. The wine was fermented in a one-ton batch then pressed to French oak barrels. The wine was aged for 20 months prior to bottling. This wine should age well. Drink 2020-2030.
