A light oak mixes with dried red fruits, black cherry, dried strawberries, and a savory note. The flavors are big and smooth. The fruit hits the palate with more red fruits, following the aromatics with cherry and strawberry flavors. A nice mid palate leads to a finish with silky smooth tannins, black olive, and bittersweet chocolate. The Graciano brings earth and depth to the blend.

I love how each varietal we make here at Coyote Canyon Winery changes each vintage. This year the Tempranillo ripened amazingly well. It might have had to do with the smaller than average crop load we ended up getting. Less wine but more intensity. The Tempranillo was so good it hardly needed any blending but those of you who know me can guess that I would do a little blending here. The Graciano adds a little extra while letting the Tempranillo be the star of the blend. Bright and refreshing this wine is great paired with red sauces, firm cheese or just on its own. This vintage should age well for 7-10 years.
