Rich purple from center to edges. A combination of mint, berry fruit, and sliced lamb. The fruit expression is sweet with oak, dill, spice, and herbal notes. Great balance and complexity.
Dark purple colored wine. Red fruits, mint, dill and herbs mix with a sweet oak aroma. The palate starts off with red fruit and oak then gives way to tannin and acidity. The palate is rich with powdered chocolate notes and sweet oak. Warm and spicy with a nice long finish.

Malbec has such a unique flavor profile and fermentation process it is always a fun wine to make. It is such a tasty grape; I always enjoy heading out to the vineyard to sample this one. It has medium sized berries, and the skins slide right off the pulp when ready to pick. The color is amazing, and the wines have this great blend of fruit and earth. I love how each vintage is different and unique. 2018 was challenging because we had some early cold weather in October. We tried to let these grapes hang as long as possible. Once the frost came, we picked the next day and were rewarded for our patience. The wine was fermented for 2 weeks on skins then pressed off into new and used French oak barrels. The wine aged for 22 months and then was filtered and bottled. We only bottled 50 cases of this wine. Drink 2021-2028
