The aromas are a nice mix of oak and red fruit, raspberry, currant and spice. The flavors start off with cherry cola, a slight jam note and then some spicy notes on the finish. Easy sipping wine that pairs well with grilled meats.

The start of 2020 was wet for Eastern WA standards. Winter had average snow fall and the spring had enough rain to get growth off to a good start. The summer was long and hot with near perfect growing conditions. We started harvest in early September and continued until late October. The vintage went very well and the wines are loaded with flavor.
We machined harvested these grapes with our amazing Pelanc Harvester and delivered them to the winery for fermentation. Primitivo is always one of the first red varietals we pick. It is always fun to kick off harvest and this grape delivers ripe flavors with great acid. The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 20 months. The result is a mix of lively fruit characteristics and some great toasty barrel notes.
