The start of 2020 was wet for Eastern WA standards. Winter had average snow fall and the spring had enough rain to get growth off to a good start. The summer was long and hot with near perfect growing conditions. We started harvest in early September and continued until late October. The vintage went very well and the wines are loaded with flavor.
We machined harvested these grapes with our amazing Pelanc Harvester and delivered them to the winery for fermentation. Each varietal was picked at the prime time and fermented separately. After fermentation the wines were aged in new and used French Oak barrels. I normally just blend a little Graciano into the Tempranillo but decided a little Cabernet Sauvignon helped give the finish a longer note
