Our 2025 Coyote Canyon Albariño is a vibrant, high-acid white wine that opens with subtle citrus, lemon, and melon aromatics. The palate evolves from soft peach and stone fruit to elegant floral notes, eventually revealing a tropical fruit complexity. True to its terroir, the wine features "popping" acidity and a crisp, fruity finish.
The 2025 Eastern Washington wine vintage featured high-quality fruit due to manageable heat throughout the growing season. A mild start and steady heat accumulation, despite August being the 4th warmest on record, led to optimal ripening aided by cool September nights. While yields were slightly down due to drought, berry concentration, especially for Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, was exceptional. Our White grapes were picked in early September and we finished the reds in late October.
Albariño has always been one of my favorite wines to make from the Coyote Canyon Vineyard. Grown in one of the warmer sites of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, the flavors have a nice combination of tropical and citrus flavors.
The 2025 Stainless Steel fermented Albarino comes from a combination of our of our 2006 plantings, the first in WA state, and our 2011 block. The grapes were machined harvested in early September and bottled in February.
